Fort McMurray Airport Authority Releases RFP for New Service Station at YMM

Fort McMurray, AB – February 15, 2018 – As part of the ongoing efforts to become Canada’s premiere regional airport and a hub for commercial and industrial activities in the region, the Fort McMurray Airport Authority has issued a Request for Proposal for a new service station, car wash and retail/restaurant concession development at the Fort McMurray International Airport.

Starting February 15, 2018, the airport will be accepting proposals from qualified firms to undertake the design, construction, operation and management of a nationally branded service station that could include related and ancillary amenities and retail operations.

“The goal of this new development is to further enhance the airport experience for all passengers, guests and employees,” said Rod Hunchak, Vice President Commercial of the Fort McMurray Airport Authority. “This new service station will offer a convenient and efficient option to purchase gasoline and other products and services, for both those who use the airport campus and those who live and work in the surrounding communities.”

Proposals for this project will be open until 3:00 p.m. on April 5, 2018.
