FORT MCMURRAY AIRPORT AUTHORITY SECURES YEAR-ROUND AIR CANADA SERVICE TO VANCOUVER

New nonstop flight enhances regional travel options and unlocks global gateways via YVR

Fort McMurray, AB – The Fort McMurray Airport Authority (FMAA) is pleased to announce new year-round nonstop service between Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM) and Vancouver International Airport (YVR), operated by Air Canada. The route begins December 2, 2025, as part of Air Canada’s Winter 2025/26 schedule.

This new connection is an important milestone for Northern Alberta travellers, offering direct access to Vancouver, one of Canada’s busiest hubs, and seamless onward links to destinations beyond. With evening departures timed for connectivity, travellers from Fort McMurray can continue on to global gateways including Manila, Sydney, Brisbane, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The service also opens convenient regional connections through YVR to popular British Columbia destinations such as Kelowna, Prince George, Nanaimo, and Victoria.

Schedule:
• Flight AC 7790: Departs Vancouver (YVR) at 3:10 p.m., -> Fort McMurray (YMM) at 6:25 p.m.
• Flight AC 7791: Departs Fort McMurray (YMM) at 7:00 p.m., -> Vancouver (YVR) at 8:32 p.m.
• Operates three times weekly (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) aboard Air Canada Express Dash 8-400 aircraft.
