A Journey of Growth at Executive Flight Centre

Trina Jacobs, FBO Supervisor and Operations Assistant at Executive Flight Centre (EFC), celebrated her seven-year anniversary in May 2024. Starting as a logistics coordinator in 2017 during a significant restructuring, Trina quickly adapted to the demands of the busy Fixed Base Operations (FBO) environment.

Her early days were marked by a pivotal moment when, just two days into her role, she received a call about the arrival of Wayne Gretzky. “What in the world! Who am I going to see next?” she recalled, highlighting the excitement of working with private jets and high-profile clients, including celebrities like Toby Keith and Aerosmith.

Originally from Fogo Island, Newfoundland, Trina moved to Alberta in 2011 with her husband, a then-fisherman, and their two young children, seeking a better life. Two years following, she landed an opportunity with Air Canada and later transitioned to EFC in 2017, seeking a structured schedule that would allow her to balance work and family life.

In her current role, Trina facilitates FBO operations, coordinating logistics for everything from fuel calls to customer requests. She appreciates the camaraderie among her coworkers.

“We work like a family,” she says, emphasizing the supportive environment at EFC.

Trina’s journey exemplifies the opportunities available within the aviation industry. “You can start anywhere and grow,” she said. “With drive and motivation, the possibilities are endless.”
